Living Dichotomy – Ego & Oneness - How Do We Be Oneness in The Ego Construct?
One of the most obvious challenges of inviting Oneness into your life, heart, mind and relationships is that we are currently still living in the ego construct as personas. It’s a real thing - a genuine issue that confronts us in real time, as well as philosophically.
If you’re dealing with either yourself, another person or a situation that feels hurtful, triggering or unhealthy - how do you handle it? Is it possible to be Oneness in every moment? The answer is ‘eventually’. It takes a huge shift in perspective, based on a bigger shift in philosophy.
We can have moments of success acting as the Oneness that we are - unless you experience instant and eternal awakening - in which case every now moment is one of Oneness. But back to answering the question as fully as I can here – how do you handle tricky situations? Give yourself some Love and compassion while you learn to be compassionate and loving towards every experience or person.
It’s not a cop out though. Ownership of your behaviour’s important and shows the level of integrity you’re living at. So being mindful of how and who you’re being is a great start. If you act from your persona in a situation, be honest with yourself about it. When you act from Oneness, really feel how that sits.
Be respectful, gentle, patient and kind to yourself and everyone else – remembering that in Truth we are All Oneness. And be the Light as often as possible – turn it into a habit. Understand that you have had a lifetime of living as your persona – and this persona has had a lot of experiences with a lot of people that might have created some interesting and complicated dynamics.
As I’ve said previously, there’s judgement and then there’s discernment. One thinks less of ourselves, others, or the experience - the other has a better understanding of what is healthy for everyone involved and makes choices that come from intuition - not fear, separation or low vibe.
There’s going to be a changeover period between regaining our Identity as Oneness while acting from our personas.It might be a challenging and confusing time! Hence the need for compassion all round. Understanding your own triggers and issues can really help. Just don’t spend all of your time there. Spend time daily connecting with Oneness – preferably every morning and evening – at least.
Get to know the feeling of connecting with Oneness. And also get into the habit of feeling what it’s like to BE Oneness. Do you feel open-hearted, caring, gentle, Loving, compassionate, peaceful, alive and vibrant? Or do you feel small, sad, aggressive, angry, hurt, forlorn or anxious? The first is how you feel when you’re feeling Oneness. The second is all persona-based.
It is possible to live dichotomously on the spot – we can express hurt then Love in the blink of an eye. I have found expressing the persona perspective in a safe way and space immediately allows me to access the Oneness inside of me. I am used to feeling the dichotomous nature of being both Oneness and my persona.
I have not yet been able to BE Oneness 24/7. If I feel unheard when coming from my persona perspective, I can find it harder to feel the Oneness. So, I mostly write out my frustrations, concerns, sadness, etc. Mostly😉 It’s like a dance between the two – Truth dancing with illusion.
